Lease Owner Deductions Only:
- We will deduct payments for the lease vehicle on a weekly basis. The price depends on the terms and length of lease own obligation. For example, the 2006 to 2008 Volvo trucks run on or around $500/week for 52 weeks depending on when they were last rebuilt.
- Lease/Own Trucks are Already Insured. Bobtail insurance will be deducted. The terms depend on the lease vehicle but as a rule of thumb, the Volvo 2006 to 2008 series trucks cost about $120/month (Approximately $30/Week). This will vary and cost a bit more on newer trucks.
- Lease/Own Trucks are Already Registered. The portioned monthly amount based on 2021 annual cost of IL apportioned plate will run $185/Month (Approximately $45/Week). This may vary and go up if Illinois increases the cost. Plates are renewed by April 1 every year.
IMPORTANT NOTICE JANUARY 2022: Trailer prices have gone up a bit. Sorry – Trailers are short on supply and when we buy them we are getting price gauged! Blame Amazon who bought up the supply from an already crippled manufacturing base. Specifically, as of January 2022, trailers have become hard to come by and sellers are price gauging. We have done what we could to make sure to maintain a supply but we are getting to the point where we are paying ridiculous prices. A Great Dane dryvan that costed us $30,000 in 2019 and $32,000 in mid to late 2020 is now costing us over $50,000 in late 2021 (up about 140%). We have started charging a little more for trailers than previously advertised to accommodate the costs of purchase and the increased price of repair. UPDATE: As of our last purchase of 2023 Great Dane Trailers in December of 2022, we are now paying over $60,000 in bulk. This is insane! Sorry guys. We are doing what we can to eat the cost as much as we can but expect prices to be adjusted accordingly.
Gross Earnings Explained: We based the Solo Driver Gross Earnings estimate on gross of $5000 to $7000 per week as was consistent in fiscal year 2018. Gross earnings depend on your availability and number of miles you commit to driving. We normally book loads at an average of 2.00 per mile during low season with peaks upward of 2.60 per mile (year around averages). This does not include peak season load outliers which are above and beyond these rates. Rates fully depend on freight demand, season, geographic location, and other market conditions effecting spot and dedicated market trends and vary from year to year. In some cases load rates are MUCH higher but it is not consistent. As with all markets globally, rates go up and down. There are Owners who make less who don’t drive very much. There are Owners who make more who drive continually. This all depends on your commitment as well as market conditions going forward. But if you are a driver that likes to drive, we will put you to work and you will make excellent gross earnings. Our dispatch team is dedicated to getting top dollar year around. After all, we are partners in this. The more you make, the more we make.
